Software Development Intern - Summer 2025 (Santiago)

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Develop simulation models for analyzing processes and layouts using discrete event simulation software and via programming.
- Develop and maintaining software package using programming such as C++ and script
- Conduct debugging, validation, verification, output analysis of simulation models
- Document modeling assumptions, process flows, results, and issuing reports
- Perform data collection and analysis as model inputs
- Provide numerical and statistical analysis of various operation processes
- Interface with technicians, engineers and project managers during data gathering, model development, analysis, reporting, and presentation

**Qualifications**:

- Attending Bachelor’s program in industrial engineering, computer science, math, or any other field related to computer software development, engineering, modeling and simulation from an accredited college or university; required
- Master’s degree student in a field related to simulation modeling; preferred
- Be at least a Junior in their Bachelor’s program; required
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- At least familiar with one or more programming language such as C++, C#, C, Java, Lua etc.
- One previous related internship; preferred
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

**Physical requirements**: Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
