TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT (San Fernando)

A growing professional practice based in San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago is seeking a highly motivated and disciplined Trainee Accountant / Audit Assistant (ACCA Pathway).

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in external audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and completion.
- Perform audit testing across areas such as revenue, expenses, receivables, and payroll.
- Prepare working papers to professional standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements under IFRS / IFRS for SMEs.

Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or final year student status.
- Pursuing or willing to pursue ACCA is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
