Engineering Coordinator (Región Metropolitana)

Job Summary:

In this role, you will evaluate, select and apply standard process/chemical engineering methods to research, design, develop, and evaluate components, products, and systems. You will prepare process equipment and systems specifications and assist in the specification of suitable materials. Your work will contribute to ensuring process/chemical activities are safe, operable, and environmentally sustainable.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our integral telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership".

Major Responsibilities:
- Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard process/chemical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
- Preparing specifications for process equipment and systems, such as distillation columns, heat exchanges, dryers, etc.
- Assisting in specification of suitable materials for intended application.
- Assisting in the safety, environmental and operability reviews (HAZOP, CHAP).
- Providing direct support to other engineering disciplines for process/chemical related matters.
- Researching, designing, developing, and evaluating components, products, and systems by using applied process/chemical engineering principles.
- Coordinating development and presentation of material when requested.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
