Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.Project OverviewUjina Growth Project: The mining area is located 185 km southeast of Iquique, at 4,400 meters above sea level, in Tarapacá Region. The main objective is to increase the concentrator’s throughput capacity from an average of 170 ktpd to 210 ktpd. The awarded service covers Package PG1—detailed engineering and procurement (EP) of six flotation cells, and on-site support during construction. Service for Package PG1 began on August 1, 2023 and continues the FEL3 study phase.Job SummaryIn this role, you will lead construction automation efforts for complex projects, using database management, programming skills, and 3D tools. You will establish and administer the portfolio of construction automation applications on the jobsite and define data requirements. You will review performance and recommend adjustments to tailor solutions to support strategy and compliance.Major ResponsibilitiesDeveloping a firm understanding of the scope and drawings of the system and area required for the development of building packages.Drawing up plans and schemes for engineering and construction.Database management and report generation.Being proactive in continuous learning or show interest in conducting appropriate learning activities.Extracting Navisworks model images and creating graphical representations of progress and status of supplies of the project for weekly reportability.Preparing and issuing weekly graphic reports with the status of the supplies received and installed by the contractors, based on the Navisworks model.Multidisciplinary field designer in the area of engineering, working in the manufacture of: Civil FSK, Structures, Electrical FSK, Mechanical FSK/Piping, FSK Permits and approval of changes.Coordinating and interacting with terrain engineers and the materials management team for advance graphic reportability.Coordinating the review and issuance in Aconex of the schemes prepared in conjunction with field engineering.Control of volumes (advance) of earthworks carried out by the project.Administrative control of weekly reports issued by field engineering to the client.Education And Experience RequirementsRequires a degree of Draftsman, designer, construction technician or professional in order, with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in development of industrial projects on the ground or in design offices.Experience in carrying out field surveys of facilities to translate it into design software.Required Knowledge And SkillsManagement of the following software tools.Microsoft Office (user)SmartPlant 3D (Intermediate)Navisworks (Intermediate)Microstation (intermediate)Autocad Civil 3D (Advanced)ProjectWize (Intermediate)Autocad (Advanced)Aconex (user)Intermediate level of English (desirable)Total Rewards/BenefitsBechtel offers robust benefits to support career growth, culture, and work-life balance.
